RAISING NEW HAMPSHIRE PREMIERES NOVEMBER 5TH

Program Focuses On Creating A Better Future For All NH Children

(DURHAM, October 28, 2015) — It begins at birth: the early years of children’s lives are crucial in shaping their development. How to create a better future for all New Hampshire children is the focus of RAISING NEW HAMPSHIRE: THE EARLY YEARS, a co-production of New Hampshire Public Television and the Endowment for Health, premiering November 5th at 8:30 PM on NHPTV PRIME. This local program follows the national broadcast of THE RAISING OF AMERICA, which airs at 7:30 PM.RAISING NEW HAMPSHIRE explores the challenges and successes of our early childhood system. The 30-minute program highlights the importance of early childhood investments, examining how factors such as health, education and family support help future generations of Granite Staters realize their full potential. By talking with early childhood experts and parents around New Hampshire in rural and urban communities, the program provides the local angle on systemic gaps and innovative solutions that could create a better future for all New Hampshire children. Featured in the program are educators at Easter Seals Child Development Center (Manchester); Early Learning NH (Concord); Growing Places (Lee, NH); Manchester Community Health Center; Rochester Child Care Center; and TLC Family Resource Center (Claremont, NH).A discussion guide is available for those wishing to organize community discussions and show the program. After the program airs, it will be available online at nhptv.org/RaisingNH and by request on DVD.
