Spring BritWit Club tea! Dear Fellow British Comedy Lover,

If you weren't able to join your fellow club members at our Spring BritWit Club tea - we missed you! We had a splendid time celebrating Queen Elizabeth's 86th birthday, screening the new season of Masterpiece Sherlock and Doc Martin, and hearing Professor Wheeler's witty talk on British spies.

BritWit Club members have input on our Tuesday night line-up. We heard that you thought Doc Martin was key to a healthy BritCom line-up, and that you missed Outnumbered. We also added Posh Nosh, a short, hilarious British take on cooking shows, which follows that vivacious, chocolate-loving Vicar of Dibley.

What about 'Are You Being Served?' I LOVE that show!

I am broken-hearted that apparently my membership lapsed and I did not hear about the recent tea. It would have been the first time I was able to attend. I hope to get there next time.

This is my second year enjoying tea with the BritWit Club. Where did you get the scones? They didn't look like a winner especially, but i have to admit they were delicious! I was happy to recommend the return of "Are You Being Served" also. Enjoyed my table companions, too! Cheerio to all!

Looking for The Old Guys? Ever the consummate gentlemen, they made way for some longer Vicar of Dibleys. After a brief holiday, they should be back in fine form in June.
