NHPTV WINS 2 NATIONAL TELLY AWARDS FOR BIRD TALES & TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING

(DURHAM, August 5, 2013) — Two of New Hampshire Public Television’s original productions have won national bronze Telly Awards for excellence. More than 12,000 entries from all 50 states were submitted to the 34th Annual Telly Awards; entries do not compete against one another, but are judged on their own merit by industry professionals.BIRD TALES, a WINDOWS TO THE WILD special, received a bronze Telly award in the nature/wildlife category. In the program, host Willem Lange meets people who, in unique and various ways, share a love for birds. It’s the third in a series of award-winning migratory bird specials produced by NHPTV that explore and celebrate New England’s native species. TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING is a lively, music-filled program that helps elementary school kids learn how to deal with bullying in school, online and socially. By using children's own words, TIGER TAKES ON BULLYING depicts their real experiences with bullying and intolerance.
