Changing Aging in the Granite State

A recent AARP New Hampshire survey identified four key issues facing Granite Staters as we age: financial security, health care planning for the long term, consumer and investment fraud, and living well. CHANGING AGING IN THE GRANITE STATE focuses on these topics with personal stories, expert perspectives, and engaging discussions. Hosted by Allison McNair, the 4-part series airs monthly September through December.


Dr. Thomas

Doctor Thomas, an internationally known expert on aging, was in Manchester to talk to an audience about why proper medication management saves lives and leads to better living. The event was sponsored by AARP-NH.


Senior Moments

The Senior Moments Theatre Troupe, affiliated with the Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, perform skits throughout the state for audiences of all ages. Made up of mostly retired, amateur actors. Senior Moments take on issues most relevant to people of their generation.

As we get older, being healthy is a key part of how we stay mobile and involved in life. Host Allison McNair talks with Terry Johnson, director of HEAL (Healthy Eating and Active Living), and Dr. Dain LaRoche of the University of New Hampshire, an expert on the role of physical activity as we age.
