Teamwork

teamworkTeamwork, or cooperation, is when you work with a group to get something done.  Often you use teamwork without even realizing it, like building a sand castle with your family or helping your parent at the grocery store. Teamwork is also important when participating in things like bands, group sports, or dramatic plays.  Click on some fun teamwork activities to do with your family or friends, and remember the more, the merrier.

Resources

Write a Group Story

The More the Merrier
Create a story with a partner.  Have a friend or family member start a story with one sentence.  Take turns, sentence-by-sentence, writing the story.  Be ready for a completely unique story.   You can do this with two or more people, but BEWARE,  the more authors involved, the sillier it can get!

A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words
If you’re really up for a teamwork challenge, after you’ve written a story create group illustrations.  This is done in turn-taking too.  You can draw one part of a scene and then your friend adds to the scene.  This should end up differently than if you had illustrated the picture on your own.   Notice what details were important to you and what details were important to others.  How are they different and/or similar?
