Scopidae - hamerkop

There is only one species in this family, the hamerkop or hammerhead. It is found in marshy areas of Sub-Saharan Africa. It eats frogs and tadpoles. It has a crest on its head and a broad bill that looks like the head of a hammer. It has a grayish body and a black bill and legs.
