Megaladapidae - sportive lemurs

There are seven species of medium-sized lemurs in this family. They are all found in Madagascar and are nocturnal. They are solitary and spend most of their time in trees, but do move around on the ground where they use their long, powerful rear legs to jump. They have gray or reddish brown fur; long tails; short, pointed faces; and large, round ears. They are herbivores and eat leaves and other plant parts.
