Caprinae (chamois, goats, serows, sheep, gorals, tahrs)

There are 36 species in this subfamily of medium-sized ungulates (hoofed animals.) They are found in mountainous regions of Asia, Africa, North America and Europe. They are stocky animals and sure-footed, which helps when you live in the mountains!
