Anatidae - Ducks, Geese, Swans

There are about 158 species in this family, and they are found in all parts of the world. They live on lakes, ponds, rivers and streams, and marshes. Many birds in this family are migratory and live in flocks.

Most of the species in this family are herbivores and eat leaves, stems, roots, seeds, and other plant parts. Many species also eat insects, small fish, mollusks, and crustaceans.
