OrdIn every fantastical episode of Super WHY!, young viewers dive directly into a pop-up story to experience a brightly-illustrated children's tale brought to magical life.  Alpha Pig with Alphabet Power, Wonder Red with Word Power, Princess Presto with Spelling Power, Super Why with the Power to Read and Super YOU with the Power to Help. Together, they are the "Super Readers"!  The Super Readers jump into books (literally) to find answers to everyday preschool challenges and embark on exciting adventures, where they play interactive reading games to overcome obstacles and save the day.

The Super Readers fly into the story of The Boy Who Cried Wolf to help that boy convince people that his wolf tale is true. Whyatt figures out a strategy for getting his family to believe that what he said - and Baby Joy said - really happened. Educational Objectives: This episode teaches kids about getting others to believe what they say. They also play with the alphabet, practice spelling, and use the power of reading to change the story. 7/16 Rapunzel (Show 108)
Princess Pea's kitten gets stuck in a tree. The Super Readers fly into the story of Rapunzel who is also stranded high above the ground. When climbing Rapunzel's hair proves to be a knotty idea, the Prince and the Super Readers come up with a tamer rescue plan and Princess Pea discovers the value of a helping hand. Educational Objectives: This episode teaches kids that they can accomplish a lot more with a little help from their friends. They also uncover the alphabet, practice spelling, and use the power of reading to change the story. Related Activity: Fairytale Memory

7/17 The Ugly Duckling (Show 109)
Princess Pea's twirls are falling flat and her dance recital is just days away. The Super Readers soar into the story of The Ugly Duckling, who's having just as much trouble learning to swim. With hard work and determination, the Ugly Duckling finally hits his stride and Princess Pea learns that practice makes perfect. Educational Objectives: This episode teaches kids about practice and persistence. They also play with the alphabet, practice spelling skills and use the power of reading to change the story. 7/18 The Elves and The Shoemaker (Show 110)
Whyatt has a secret admirer and he wants to know who it is. The Super Readers visit The Elves and The Shoemaker and discover that the shoemaker is just as curious about his own secret friends. After helping the shoemaker write a note to the elves, Whyatt figures out a way to uncover his own mystery friend. Educational Objectives: This episode teaches kids about ways to make friends. They also explore the alphabet, rhyme using words from the "UN" family (such as sun, run and fun), and use the power of reading to change the story. Related Activity: Make an Invitation

The Super Readers venture into the tale of Miss Muffet and meet a spider who is frightening his friend right off her tuffet! The Super Readers help Spider find a better way to approach Miss Muffet, and everyone learns that curds and whey taste better when shared with someone special. Educational Objectives: To learn how to treat a friend, follow the alphabet, practice spelling and use the power to read to change the story.

7/28 Cinderella (Show 112)
Red doesn't feel like much of a Princess, so how will she fit in at Sleeping Beauty's princess party? The Super Readers magically leap into the book of Cinderella who has a party of her own to get to! When the clock strikes midnight, Red learns that she doesn't need the help of a fairy godmother to feel great about who she is! Educational Objectives : To learn about feeling good about oneself, find the letters of the alphabet and practice the magic of spelling. Opposite words are used to change the story.

7/29 The Ant and the Grasshopper (Show 113)
Littlest Pig is on a picnic and he is starving! Problem is, he didn't plan ahead and pack a snack! The Super Readers fly into the story of Ant and Grasshopper where the jovial grasshopper finds himself equally unprepared for the onset of winter. Will his responsible friend Ant teach him (and Pig) a lesson about planning ahead? Or will the two friends be left out in the cold? Educational Objectives : To learn about planning ahead. Young viewers will explore the alphabet, experiment with spelling and use the power to read to change the story.

7/30 The Little Red Hen (Show 114)
“Not I!” “Not I!” “Not I!”… is all Red's friends say when she needs their help gathering apples! This is a super big problem. The Super Readers take off into the story of the Little Red Hen, whose friends won't assist her either! The Super Readers are willing to lend a hand to The Little Red Hen, but will anyone help Red? Educational Objectives : To learn the best way to get help from others, explore the alphabet, practice the magic of spelling and use the power to read to change the story.

7/31 Cinderella (Show 112)

7/11 Legend of the Indian Paintbrush (Show 708) -
A Native American story of Little Gopher following his destiny, as revealed in a Dream-Vision of becoming an artist for his people and bringing the colors of the sunset down to the earth. LeVar visits the Pueblo Indian people of Taos, New Mexico where Mother Earth plays a crucial role in their art. He interviews a painter, a family of pottery makers, and a family of dancers. Each explains the traditions behind their art and the Native American culture.
