Preview the book with your child. Explain that it is a book about a shepherd, who is preparing to stay warm for the winter.



Do

Dye some white yarn using mashed berries, grape juice, or cold coffee. Place the yarn in a bowl with the berries, coffee, or grape juice. Add a dash of white vinegar to set the dye and rinse it off under cold water. You can braid it, weave it, or just have fun mixing colors.
