NHPTV Channel 49 Transmitter Outage Expected |
Viewers May Experience Temporary Interruptions in Service During Installation
|
(DURHAM – September 30, 2009) - New Hampshire Public Television viewers in the Keene area who receive NHPTV via Channel 49 will experience a prolonged outage on or about October 5th or 6th (weather permitting) while a back-up generator is installed at the Walpole transmitter site. Plans to install the generator this week were postponed due to inclement weather. Antenna and cable service will be affected during the installation. It is possible that viewers may experience other, intermittent outages a day or two after the installation.
Viewers in the Keene area are advised to check NHPTV’s website www.nhptv.org for updates on the installation, e-mail inquiries to themailbox@nhptv.org, or to call Viewer Services at (603) 868-1100.
"We regret any inconvenience to our viewers and will perform the installation as quickly as possible to reduce the impact on our viewers," said Brian Shepperd, NHPTV Chief Technology Officer.
