(PORTSMOUTH, NH, June 27, 2013) – The best in craft beer and local culinary creations will be on tap September 14th at Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth. The 2013 PASSPORT Craft Beer & Food Pairing Tour, a benefit for New Hampshire Public Television and Strawbery Banke Museum, offers guests a savory range of over 20 craft beers deliciously paired with appetizers from area restaurants and food purveyors. Guests stroll the museum's historic grounds, sampling and learning about leading craft beer styles and the cuisines they complement. The Jim Dozet Trio will perform throughout the evening at the 5th annual PASSPORT event. Smuttynose Brewing’s director of brewing operations David Yarrington and Chef Evan Hennessey of Flavor Concepts Catering are guiding the pairings. Tickets are limited and this event sells out!

It offers a pub crawl through history, showing how brewers and tavern keepers helped shape Portsmouth at a time when beer and hard cider were healthier alternatives to water.
