Laconia High School Advances to Round Two of Granite State Challenge

(DURHAM, December 23, 2010) – The competition was fierce on last night's Granite State Challenge match, but in the end, Laconia High School edged out Sanborn Regional High School by a score of 295 to 230. Catch Granite State Challenge Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and again Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. on New Hampshire Public Television, and always online.The triumphant Laconia Sachems included seniors Brooke Baerman, Matt Dassatti, Josh Curtis, Chelsea Howard and Abby O'Hara. They were coached by Bernie Campbell. Their opponents, the Sanborn Indians, included seniors Jordann Johnson, Alexis Nault, Christopher Cox, Sonja Pietrasz, Nina Esposito, and sophomore Daniel Okuniewicz. They were coached by Michelle Karcz. There are four single-elimination rounds leading to the final contest in April.
