NH War Stories Student Documentary Project
Original Airdate: June 29, 2008Armed with video cameras, questions, and lots of research, NH students recorded oral histories from local veterans and their loved ones. It was all part of New Hampshire Public Television's NH War Stories Student Documentary Project. In conjunction with the fall release of PBS filmmaker Ken Burn's documentary "The War," NHPTV asked students to film war stories from veterans in their communities. The station received 14 oral history documentaries from middle and high schools students. In this special edition of NH Outlook you'll see parts of those documentaries and meet the students from the Great Brook Middle School in Antrim and Timberlane High School in Plaistow who produced the top entries. Plus, see highlights from the oral history awards ceremony held at NHPTV in Durham.
