A Day in the Life of Presidential Candidate Howard Dean
Aired Tuesday, Jul 8, 2003
|
We'll see retail politics up close and personal.
Producer Richard Ager looks at a day in the campaign life of Democratic presidential hopeful Howard Dean. In an interview and encounters with voters in Lebanon, Concord, Manchester and Dover, we explore Dean's stands on the issues, his rise to prominence, and his supporters' unprecedented use of the internet as a campaign tool.
Also in this program, Chip Neal looks at the anatomy of a campaign stop. We'll meet the people who play host to the candidate as well as those who show up to meet them.
Guests include Dante Scala of the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College and Andrew Smith of the University of New Hampshire Survey Center.
