Court Cuts

Court Cuts - NH Outlook
Custody cases left undecided. Divorce settlements delayed by months. Criminal trials that take so long, some offenders could go free. Those are just a few of the unintended consequences that some judges and lawyers fear as a result of the budget cuts proposed by Governor Lynch. This week, NH Outlook will take a close up look at those proposed cuts and talk with three individuals who know the law and what it takes to administer justice. Our guests are John Broderick,Chief Justice of the NH Supreme Court; Cathy Green, well-known defense attorney; and James Tenn, President of the NH Bar Association.

After viewing this video I wanted to make a comment about the family court system and the money that it takes to run the system. I can see why that the courts are running out of money because of all the filings that the family courts let in. I don't know who over looks when someone files at the clerk of courts desk but they let people just file anything which is wrong. I lived in n.h for more than 45 yrs but now i live in georgia, I been in family court 3 times for the same issue the judge cannot make a ruleing and I need to go back june 5 and aug of this year until this judge can decide that will be a total of 5 times don't you think that is a waste of time. The judge should have been able to decide after the second time we were in court. When I watch the justice on this video lying about wait time to go to trial, I'm not on trial and i been to court 3 times in less than a year and 2 more to go. I tried to tell the union leader what is going on in the family court and concord paper waiting for a reply. The system is broken until you look at the petitions that are filed on the family clerk of courts you will see why.

What an injustice being done to the people letting go those nine judges? In the end, we are only going to pay more because if we don't have a preventative plan for our judicial courts, just like our healthcare system for the poor, plummeting ourselves into more paperwork, people will wait longer for their cases and less action will be taken. We have the money for the war in Iraq and Afganistan with no problem yet we can't support our own communities! We are hurting ourselves. Again, this is the rich vs. poor and the rich are really making it bigtime now especially Goldman Sachs and it's ilk who are bilking the poor and middle class people of America! Tea party people, you should be in front of Goldman Sachs, banks, and the other corporations who stole billions and who would want to evaporize the poor in this country! Demand that your jobs are brought back into our country for prosperity! Thank you for reading this and I enjoyed watching your program.
