Digital TV 101
On February 17, 2009 television will take a giant leap forward when broadcasters shut down their analog signals and switch to all digital transmission. In this special edition, NH Outlook's Beth Carroll explores how the digital TV transition could affect your household. You'll learn how to get ready for the biggest change in viewing since color TV came on the scene more than 40 years ago. Analog, digital, converter box -- there's no shortage of confusing terms, but it will all get explained by DTV expert and NHPTV Director of Technology Brian Shepperd. Also, Beth Carroll takes us shopping for new televisions with Jim Barry of the Consumer Electronics Association. And we'll learn how to recycle old televisions.
