NH Goes Green; Planning for Environmental Change in Epping; Carbon Coalition

Aired Sunday, Aug 12, 2007

The Academy Award winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," has many Americans thinking about climate change and what they can do about global warming. This past spring more than 150 New Hampshire towns approved resolutions designed to reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Phil Vaughn finds out how members of the "Carbon Coalition" are making a difference one person at a time.

Then, the town of Epping is the first in the state to mandate green standards in new commercial buildings. NH Outlook speaks with a local business owner about the ordinance and its impact on the bottom line.

And finally, learn how biodiesel is made and meet the college students who drove cross-country in a van powered mostly by vegetable oil.

PROGRAMMING NOTE:
NH Outlook will not be seen on Monday or Tuesday at 7:30pm to make way for special programming. Please watch and pledge your support to help keep programs like NH Outlook going strong. NHPTV Support
