Aired Tuesday, Nov 21, 2006
|
The Harkness table refers to a style of teaching pioneered by philanthropist Edward Harkness and implemented at Phillips Exeter Academy in 1930. Outlook host Beth Carroll visits the school to learn about the oval table and instruction, as well as some of the school’s famous authors, like Dan Brown, Donald Hall, Booth Tarkington, and John Irving.
Also, Outlook’s Richard Ager interviews an Iraqi Supreme Court justice visiting New Hampshire for the first time. And, we talk with New Hampshire's 2007 Teacher of the Year.
