Guidance
bullying
Bullying is all about power. It can involve one or more individual preying on someone perceived as being weaker or vulnerable.

Bullying can be face-to-face or online. It can be physical, psychological, or emotional . It can include hitting, teasing, shunning, or spreading rumors.

Bullying should not be viewed as a normal part of growing up. It can not just be dismissed as "kids being kids." Bullying can cause lasting damage to the child being bullied and in extreme cases can lead to suicide.

NH OutlookNH OUTLOOK examines the nature of bullying, addresses some of the myths, and looks at solutions to a problem that has expanded beyond the playground to personal computers, cells phones and social media. Guest host Ally McNair discusses bullying and the state's new anti-bullying law with researcher Dr. Malcolm Smith, school counselor Maxine Mosely, and Bully Free NH founder Carol Croteau.
