Video On Demand

Individual Learning with Video

Video on demand also allows students to view and use videos individually. This gives you greater flexibility in incorporating video into your curriculum.

Incorporating Video into Projects
If you can download videos, students can incorporate clips into multmedia presentations using software like PowerPoint or HyperStudio.

Video Learning Station
You can establish a video learning station where students can go individually or in small groups to watch a video and complete an assignment based on what they viewed.

Home Viewing
Some services allow students to access videos from home. You can assign home viewing for review of content or for enrichment or to help a student who is home sick keep up with the class. This is also a great way to show parents how technology is being used in the school. Just remember, that many homes may not have a high speed internet connection.

Just in Time Learning
You can use the video library as a reference resource, much as you would use an encyclopedia. Have a student reseacher go look for information when a question arises in class! Students can also use the video library as a reference resource when they are doing research.

Extra Add Ons
Students can use images and clip art and other video on demand service resources in their papers and projects without worring about copyrights.
