Countdown to Digital TV

TV Converter Box Coupon Program

At midnight on February 17, 2009, all full-power television stations in the United States will stop broadcasting in analog and switch to 100% digital (DTV) broadcasting, as mandated by Congress.

Digital television (DTV) enables television stations to provide dramatically clearer pictures and better sound quality. By transmitting the information used to make a TV picture and sound as "data bits" like a computer, DTV technology can also be used for interactive video and data services, such as enhanced closed-captioning, that are not possible with traditional analog technology.

If you want to watch TV in high-definition (also called HD or high-def), you’ll need an HD TV or monitor, and

  • HD service from a cable or satellite service, or...
  • Be able to receive our signal from rabbit ears or a rooftop antenna.

NHPTV will help you make the switch.

We’re committed to helping you make the transition to digital as painless as possible. Many of your questions will be answered here. If you still have questions, please call NHPTV Viewer Services at (603) 868-4334 or the TV Converter Box Coupon Program at 1-888-388-2009 to get help.
