Bronze Statue of Secretariat
Friend of NHPTV
Liza Todd Tivey, daughter of Elizabeth Taylor, has become known among horse enthusiasts and art connoisseurs as one of the premier equine sculptors in America today. Originally executed as a private commission, this bronze was cast to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of the birth of the famed triple-crown winner, Secretariat. Cast in the lost wax, molten bronze tradition the rich patinas were created by hand. Signed and dated by the artist, this rare sculpture is number 35 /75. The original mold was destroyed after casting was complete. Standing on a base of solid walnut with a brass plaque, this piece measures 14 ½" long by 11" high and 4" deep and weighs 14 pounds.
Conditions / Restrictions: Must be picked up at the NHPTV Broadcast Center in Durham, NH.
